A serial entrepreneur with 30 years experience in Management, Business Development, Business Collaborations and Financing across multiple domains. Raaj is recognized for his ability to develop strategies, assemble a high quality team and drive business performance. Coming from a commerce background, Raaj is very passionate about science and is described by his colleagues as driven and decisive. His learnings from his last stint as the head of business of a cancer genomics company, were immense and fortified his belief that medtech is the route which could lead to cancer cure in the long term but also importantly bring world class treatments to rural areas at affordable costs, thereby positively impacting all classes of patients, in the near term. Prior experience include heading Strategy, Marketing and Sales for two leading residential real estate companies, Raaj was instrumental in selling 2.5 Mn SqFt of residential space, adding to 125 Mn USD to the Company’s top line. His robust leadership skills helped lead one company to pre-IPO and increased the market value of the Company to 350 Mn USD. As a CEO of Optimal Oncology, supported by a highly qualified team of professionals Raaj is confident of driving the company to acomplish its mission and deliver value to all the stake holders.

Dr. Vijayakumar Varadhan

Dr Vijay is an excellent clinician, an able administrator with a passion for financial modelling. He completed his graduation in the field of Dentistry in 1995. With a growing thirst for expansion and innovations he started his first Dental Center at  Adyar in 1999. The Banyan Tree which symbolizes strength, longevity and expansion became the Brand Logo of DENTISTREE now operates at 13 Centers in and around Chennai. Managing complex operations is his core skill and his eye for details is impeccable. As a COO he will use his earlier experience to bring in efficiencies in managing day to day activities at Optimal Oncology.

Sujini Ponnusamy
Founder & CSO

Sujini is a Molecular Biologist and Genomics Application Scientist with more than two decades of experience in leveraging innovative biotechnologies to developing life impacting products and data centric biology applications. A great enthusiast in understanding the finer aspects of science and translating deep molecular insights to enable the right treatment options for patients along their cancer journey. A firm believer that Genomics is the way to cure cancer in the future. Prior experience in Kyvor Genomics includes development of a whole exome NGS test and analytical platform for cancer patients to understand the molecular profile of cancer. In Xcode lifesciences Sujini built and deployed genetic risk assessment programs in fitness centers, wellness centers & clinics. She is a member of the  European Society of Molecular Oncology (ESMO) & Indian Society of Human Genetics (IHSG). Sujini has a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from coimbatore, India and master's degree with distinction in Industrial Biotechnology (Molecular Biology stream) from Liverpool, UK. She is certified in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and has completed Precision Oncology & Cancer Genomics online  certificate course from Havard Medical School. With her earlier experience in cancer genomics product development Sujini is confident of developing a high quality cancer medtech software  with the objective to help the patient in the entire journey.

AshwinKumar Toppur
Founder & CTO

A versatile leader with 20+yrs all round experience in technology, operations and human resources  having good customer, commercial and employee focus. Have international multi cultural experience influencing global and india senior leaders in defining strategy, delivering global transitions, technology change programs and establishing new teams / models. Delivered USD 15mn+ programs. Key areas of expertise  include  strategically growing the digital technology business practice with focus on: Ai / ML solutions in - image, text / NLP, unstructured data extraction data and analytics - solutions to support alternate data identification, extraction and analytics platform and product development - workflow automation and RPA / CPA platforms sw development services - leading team in cloud based and mobile application development. As CTO Ashwin will be responsible for the software product aspects of NAiOmi.

Dr. Karthikeyan
Founder, Director & CMO

A passionate, enthusiastic and expert Radiation Oncologist with above par IQ. After completing his M.D. from Bangalore Medical College, he completed his senior residency training from the prestigious JIPMER in Puducherry. Subsequently, he joined Dr Rai Memorial Medical Centre as a consultant Radiation oncologist. During his MD, he received additional training in the essentials of Palliative care as certified by the Indian Society of Palliative Care. To date, he has 1 international paper presentation, 3 publications in peer reviewed journals and three awards including Residents’ Quiz in Oncology and Best Poster. He is a Life member of several national and international Oncology Societies. Dr. Karthik is currently pursuing Medical  Oncology. With his expertise he will guide the cancer treatment delivery protocols at the centers and create the clinician workflow in the NAiOmi software.

Dr. Subrahmanyam Guttina, Ph.D (cancer biology)

A healthcare and life sciences professional with 32+ years of global experience with a deep insight and passion in developing business in healthcare, life sciences, oncology and genomics. Played a major role for 5 years in implementing IBM watson solutions in oncology, genomics and drug discovery in the Apac / China / South Korea and India markets. The focus was more on product adoption and its development. He was an active member of sales team and was instrumental some of the major deals in the region. Throughout the career, focused on business development, pre-sales support and client advocacy through consultancy. Working for leading mncs for several years, learnt and imbibed the required nuances of business in the healthcare segment through hands on experience in the areas of providers, payers, pharma / biotech across the globe in various capacities his strengths are quickly establishing client relationship, and collectively achieving the client and company objectives as a team. Dr. Subrahmanyam brings with him extensive experience from IBM watson to guide the software product development and establishment of the business tenets in optimal oncology.

Highly business and process focused professional with a keen interest in product management and strategic business planning for new and existing hospitals. Was responsible for successfully starting and turn-around of many multi-specialty quaternary care hospitals & medi-city projects, for manipal group, fortis healthcare & parkway pantai india (ihh berhad). Has managed 2000+ beds multi-geography healthcare facilities across india. During the last decade was responsible for few of the landmark clinical programs in india and south asia and recognised globally, like: largest cardiac transplant program, largest artificial heart / lvad (mechanical circulatory device) program, largest lung transplant program, largest ecmo program in asia was also associated with of the world's most prestigious and largest liver transplant program in india. Have a good insight of tier 2 & 3 healthcare market and understands the dynamics of running a successful healthcare practice in emerging markets. Out of the last 20yrs+ as a professional, have spent 15yr+ with 3 of the biggest and most professionally managed healthcare organisations in india & sea and 2nd largest healthcare organisation in the world. Have a strong sense for creating innovative service delivery models which suits the changing customer requirement & dynamic business environment.
